Extra for Extracurriculars Grant Program (E4E)
Purpose
The purpose of the E4E grant program is to provide funding to enrich and enhance students' extra-curricular educational experiences and well-being in the school setting and to support our school community in their creative and innovative thinking.
Annual Grant Budget
A maximum of $5,000 in E4E Grants will be awarded for the 2024-25 school year. A grant can be requested for any amount; however, most grants range in size from $500-$1500.
Application Process
Proposals may be for equipment needs, start-up extra-curricular club expenses, and anything that enhances the extra-curricular lives of the children in D103. Requested funding must be broken down and detailed. While preference is given to proposals made by D103 staff that offer school-wide access to our students; parents and/or staff member sponsored students are also encouraged to submit proposals that will benefit extra-curricular program needs. Please be advised, however, that any new extracurricular club start up proposals submitted by a parent or staff-sponsored student needs prior approval by a District 103 school administrator before PTO can consider funding.
Grant applications are accepted year-round. Upon completion, the application form is submitted to the appropriate school principal for approval. The principal will then submit all approved applications to the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction who will pass along approved applications to the Grants Committee for evaluation. The Grants Committee Chairperson will announce funding decisions.
