Parent-Teacher Organization
The Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) of District 103 is a volunteer-based non-profit organization focused on:
- Promoting an environment in which every student has the opportunity to grow intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically.
- Promoting a close relationship between the home and the school, so that parents, guardians, teachers, school staff, and school administrators may cooperate in the education and enrichment of our students.
- Stimulating community interest in and encouraging support for our schools through fundraising efforts.

"Two major studies from the 1990s and 2000s showed the positive effect parent involvement has on student achievement and other success factors. They were so influential that researchers today still reference them frequently. You only need one membership per family regardless of the number of children you have in the district.
The sustainability of the numerous PTO programs and events, focused on making our children's learning experience fun as well as educational, can only be achieved with the assistance of monetary support and devoted volunteers. Whether you choose to help us financially, either through membership or other fundraisers, or graciously volunteer your spare time and talents to our initiatives, your involvement directly benefits our children and schools in the district and is greatly appreciated!
Thank you for your support! PLEASE NOTE: A D103 PTO Membership is required to fulfil the roles of Executive and Committee Board Members as well as Room Parents. |
